WoW finally got new content as the patch 6.0.2 went live. I'm happy with the new character models, although some of the models' walking needs a bit fixing. The new small features such as being able to change your face at the barber (changing your face at the barber sounds a bit strange though), the new flags in battlegrounds, skirmish and character name release are awesome, too! I managed to get a few cool names on my server. Unfortunately, the class balance at 90 is horrible and the game is full of bugs that affect playing. I guess it's the destiny of all pre-patches.

New patch! Yay.. or not.
Hello LockBlog. I'm sorry I haven't given much attention to you lately but reasons such as my boyfriend and exams have kept me busy enough. I haven't been playing a lot of WoW either due to the reasons mentioned above but also because it's so boring to play atm.

WoD Beta - How it looks like
I was so excited when I realized I could access WoD Beta. I explored through the new areas and it really feels like each one of them has their own kind of special atmosphere.
I found many new places on Draenor that look so appealing I could just look at them and take dozens of screenshots. Beautiful graphics, new character models (especially tauren females are sooo cute!) and all seem generally very well done. Anyhow, my expectations of Ashran were very high but it turned out be sort of a disappointment.
I used to think of Ashran as this huge PvP area where you would always have a chance to meet an enemy player, or even two at a time. An area full of exciting fights, ganking and fun. But I didn't realize it was just a big battleground in which people fight in groups and use AoE like professional dungeon farmers.
Worst of all is that there are guards and elite mobs to ruin all the fun. Of course there are also quests, vendors and other unrelated things. I could live with them but not with the guards and mobs. It seems ridiculous to have them there.
I'm not completely against guards though. It's fine for me if there are a few guards in each faction's base. It's good to have even one safe place. As long as the bases are small and the guards are not all around the zone.
More negative words about WoD? The class balance seems very bad at the moment but will most likely get fixed (hopefully) when the expansion is out. Classes also seem more simple and easier to play. I didn't like it that much because the way you play a class (so-called rotation) seems so simple now plus having more abilities just gave all classes more flexibility. It also forced players to think more about, for example, how to play against mages and how against rogues.
Since half of this post already consists of whining, (there must be something positive in the end of a good post I've heard) I must mention a few awesome things in WoD because it doesn't seem to be completely bullshit at all. Skirmish arena is back, the new models are totally amazing, not to mention the new login screen!

G: Defending as a Rogue
2. Rogue - Subtlety
As a Rogue, you have many weak points such as your survival and lack of ranged abilities, not even to mention lack of an immunity-bubble-like ability.
Although
you have many strengths as well, these are Stealth, Evasion, Vanish, Smoke Bomb
and CC such as Kidney Shot and Blind.
If you find
yourself defending on your Rogue then make sure to position yourself wisely in
stealth since the chances that another Rogue from the enemy team will come
looking for you is big, - and if you get found you suddenly aren’t feeling the
vibe anymore.
If all hell
breaks loose and you’re standing there alone against 2-10 enemies and you’re
losing your base then don’t go tanking them like a Death Knight or Guardian
Druid, use your Rogue skills to prevent them from capping instead. At this
point you should have both Vanishes left and Cloak as well as trinket. You
should be able to hold off a group of five enemies for at least 30 seconds with
that. First up you should pop your evasion and spam Fan of Knives to prevent
them from capping, but if you find taking yourself too much damage even with
Evasion on then you may want to Vanish and wait a few seconds before returning.
However, no more than six seconds after last Fan of Knives! From there you
should keep vanishing and running around them like a real Rogue. Good luck!

G: Defending as a Druid
1. Druid - Feral
When defending as a Druid your main strength is your Prowl. Consider Prowl a secondary trinket. You should make sure you're specced into Treants as a Guardian Druid and that you have Symbiosis on a Paladin as Feral for Divine Shield. If there's no Paladin in your team it's recommended to go Guardian instead.
After capping your base you should go into Prowl and position yourself 30 yards away from flag. The exact distance doesn't matter but make sure you stand on as a random place as possible to decrease the chance of a Rogue finding you. You should keep this distance from the flag because if the Rogue does find you, he will spend those 7 seconds of his Sap on running to the flag. In case you do get sapped this far away from the flag you should NOT use your trinket. It's truly a heart-in-your-throat moment but keep your blood cold and take it easy, the math does add up in your favor. What you do is that you simply run in range of Moonfire after the Sap and pop a Treant on him. Make sure to Faerie Fire him as-well so he cannot restealth. As long as you have a cute Treant on the Rogue he cannot cap, even if he blinded you.
Many Guardians and other stealthers panic when a Rogue uses Smoke Bomb. They think the rogue will cap before the Smoke Bomb is gone and they decide to run right into it in order to stop the Rogue. Don't EVER do that. Have patience and take it easy, - a Rogue's smoke bomb last for 6 seconds and capping the flag takes a solid 7 seconds which means you can simply stand 20 yards away and spam your beloved Moonfire.

G: Defending in RBGs
Defending in RBGs? Easy job right? So you would think! There are a lot of things to keep in mind and look out for as a defender of a base. In fact there are many tricks that can be of assistance in various battlegrounds, where mostly they are things that seem so simple, almost too simple to matter, but will give you a big advantage when adapted into your play style.
First up you have to consider which class you put to defend a base. There are some classes which just don't do well as defenders, these are: Shamans, Monks, Priests, Warriors
Now keep in mind that these classes can of course defend if played correctly, but you should avoid having them defend, simply because they lack long range CC and abilities to remove loss of control of your character.
Here's a scoreboard for the best base defenders: (Patch 5.4)
In the next posts we'll take a look at the recommended talent specializations and what to remember when playing them as a defender. Have a nice day!
These posts have been written by my boyfriend and I.

- Feral and/or Guardian Druid (Good survivability, Divine Shield as a Feral Druid and Force of Nature as a talent.)
- Rogue (Hides in the shadows and has 2x Vanish)
- Hunter (Has a pet and 2x Deterrence)
- Warlock (Has a pet and Dark Bargain as well as a extra PvP trinket)
- Death Knight (Has a pet and good survival)
- Mage (Has a pet and Ice block)
- Paladin (Has bubble(s))
- Priest (Can spawn a pet)
- Shaman (Can spawn a pet as well)
- Balance Druid (Good for escaping and has Force of Nature as a talent)
- Monk (Can spawn a pet and has Touch of Karma)
- Warrior (Sap and Fear immunity as well as good survival)

Back in the game, are we?
Oops. That was such a long break from blogging. However, we are now back in business and ready to start writing stuff and posting pretty pictures again!
Currently WoW seems very boring to me as it probably seems to many others, too. Everyone is just waiting for WoD (enjoying summer) and as there's no new content coming people will eventually get tired of doing the same things over and over. This phase sucks.

Loads of RBG posts coming soon!
My boyfriend and I are currently working on a series of RBG posts that will be posted every day for about 1-2 weeks. Writing them together is actually a lot fun. The posts will focus on giving an overall idea of RBGs as well as great tips. They will be separated into different topics such as defending and flag carrying. Interesting, ain't it? At least I'm very excited about writing them.

Kang's Bindstone
I was helping a friend in Naxxramas and took a few screenshots on the go. The scary mobs look beautiful (and a lil bit funny) when turned into a stone by Kang's Bindstone. I also managed to get the Warlock Tier 7 chest. It looks so pretty! Unfortunately now I want the full set of Tier 7 and therefore I'm forced to go to Naxx every week.

The cold never bothered me anyway
I watched the movie Frozen and found it lovely. Especially the song "Let it go". I really loved it so much that I played with Photoshop and WoW, which I haven't done for a while, and got some pictures that turned out.. Well, decent. But it never bothered me anyway so let it go!
Winter scenes are quite mystic. I love the cold, magic and ice. Although I hate winter and the cold on frosty winter mornings, the colors of the winter are beautiful. (Wish the colors were like this in real life too.)

Tarren Mill -> Sylvanas
I migrated from Tarren Mill to Sylvanas with my boyfriend about a month ago. The reason behind our migration is that PvP wise Tarren Mill is dead. It has always been more or less a PvE server but in the recent two years nearly all the PvP there has just died. We wanted to start doing some more frequent and serious RBGs with a guild, have a new start and play on a server in which Horde-Alliance-balance is a bit better for WPvP. On Tarren Mill it'd be a pleasent surprise to see just a glimpse of an Alliance.
So what have we done? On Sylvanas we also changed our faction to Alliance. I've never been playing on the Alliance side so it was a bit of a change. I'm still Horde by nature! Undead warlock forever. Although I'm starting to like my new human warlock, especially the racial trinket and my new girlish look.
We formed a guild called Bad Morning with a few friends of ours. It was designed to be a small and friendly RBG & PvP guild and so far we have managed to play a few RBGs and find some members. I'm not completely satisfied with what we have achieved so far. We could be better if we had more good players and we could've done things better. Right now we lack of a lot important members, especially a good TC.
I think that it would be a lot easier to join some already existing guild, wouldn't it? On the other hand, they may handle things badly and not in the way we wanted it. It's also somewhat cuter to have your own little guild than join a huge guild full of unknown people.
Some posts related to RBGs coming and something else probably too! ->

Transmog Hell 2
This post includes two blueish cloth tranmogs! They are both made with Mogit as the previous transmogs.
Soft blue for mages/warlocks/priests. It was unbelievably hard to find fitting gloves and belt for this one. However, I love that baby blue color. My warock's next trasmog shall be blue.
Item list:
Shoulders: [Mantle of Time]
Chest: [Mooncloth Robe]
Gloves: [Exiled Dabbler's Gloves]
Belt: [Exiled Dabbler's Cinch]
Weapon: [Jaded Crystal Dagger]
Off-hand: [Chalice of Benedictus]
Bright turquoise for mages/warlocks/priests. Why, oh why are these shoulders so hard to get? They look so cool and it's hard to find a replacement for such a gloriously colored object.
Item list:
Shoulders: [Shoulderpads of Faith]
Chest: [Robes of the Exalted]
Gloves: [Sage's Gloves]
Belt: [Lunar Belt]
Weapon: [Jaded Crystal Dagger]
Off-hand: [Urn of Lost Memories]

Transmog Hell 1
It's time to start posting again! Yay. I've been extremely lazy with LockBlog but I'm happy to say that I have an inspiration to write at the moment as well as post ideas.
After downloading the addon Mogit I fell in love with it and started to work on a few xmogs.
After downloading the addon Mogit I fell in love with it and started to work on a few xmogs.
Blazing mail for hunters. It was really fun to make this transmog and I also like how it turned out. The tabard fits so well to the colors. Btw, in reality the bow should have some kind of glow!
Item list:
Shoulders: [Flickering Shoulders]
Tabard: [Tabard of Brute Force]
Gloves: [Triumphant Gauntlets]
Belt: [Engraved Girdle]
Legs: [Battleforge Legguards]
Boots: [Battleforge Boots]
Golden plate for warriors/paladins/DKs. Love that golden yellow color and the simplicity. Yellow is also a bright and happy color which looks great in WoW.
Item list:
Shoulders: [Swiftsteel Shoulders]
Chest: [Phantom Armor]
Gloves: [Conqueror's Gauntlets]
Belt: [Girle of Hope]
Legs: [Conqueror's Legplates]
Boots: [Conqueror's Greaves]
Weapon: [Twinblade of the Phoenix]
Passionate red for mages/warlocks/priests. Many colors are used in this transmog but it does't look too messy imo. I like the mix of red, yellow, green and grey.
Item list:
Chest: [Flameheart Vest]
Gloves: [Felheart Gloves]
Belt: [Felheart Belt]
Boots: [Felheart Slippers]
Weapon: [Malchazeen]
Off-hand: [Talisman of the Sun King]
Got a few more transmogs waiting to be posted.

Day 27. 10 minutes from home
My home is where my hearthstone is which in this case means Timeless Isle. So this place would be about 10 minutes from my home, I guess. Looks like a beautiful palace anyway.

Day 25. Culture
People dueling and chatting in Elwynn Forest. I'm not sure if one would call it a culture or if it's just something practical. However, the best dueling zones are Elwynn Forest and Durotar on World of Warcraft.
Day 24. In the background
Allright, let's face the truth. I'm getting bored of this screenshot challenge and that is the reason I'm so late all the time. Anyway, this is due to me being a part of the Alliance now. Stormwind threes and castles!
26/03/2014
Day 19. Lost
Lost in a dark Duskwood. :( I could have made this more dramatic and serious but I got this crazy idea of the cute tauren sitting alone.
Day 18. Someone you spoke to today
I am so late with this screenshot challenge. I'm not going make up any excuses, just been a busy week.
This human rogue is my boyfriend. Something new has in fact happened. We decided to suddenly migrate to Sylvanas and change faction which is a big shock for someone like me who has always played Horde. We have a new RBG guild and I'm really looking forward to what this new change will bring to us.

Day 16. Cooking
This baker orc can be found in Orgrimmar near the cooking trainers. I've never been a big fan of cooking and neither have I cooking as a profession on WoW. The environment in the shot looks cozy.
Day 15. The best
You know what are the hardest subjects? The best, the worst. Anyway, this is me and my boyfriend. We are the best and the most lovely undead couple you can find! Right? We love cuddling in Timeless Isle. <3
14/03/2014
Day 14. Trash
This one was hard since there aren't really any real trashes on WoW. Skeletons ain't trashes but if the owners of these have already ressed and are alive, then why are the bones still here? Nothing wrong with that though, it's a game after all. I just saw something related to trashes when I look at this.
13/03/2014
Day 13. Fast
"As her boots caught fire, she ran faster than my new epic mount." Nitro Boosts. Excellent in WPvP, nearly a must-have. It has saved me so many times from dying when I've faced too many enemies at the same time on Timeless Isle. Love it.
12/03/2014
Day 12. Macro
I know this isn't exactly what one would call "a macro" but I like this one. I tried to blur the background a bit to make it look like the camera has focused on the bird. I usually like colors the most in pictures.
